Just arriving to Oak Farms in Lodi, CA

Another State, another view!

We have finally made to the East coast where our ex neighbours and dear friends Tina and Juan live with their children Juancho and Maggie. After living next door to them in Chancy and La Clusaz and travelling together to Portugal and Miami, coming to see them in their new surroundings is like visiting family! 

Despite being in the same country, the contrast with Michigan is striking!  California is dry and bear. It reminds me of Portugal, perhaps Alentejo?

Soon after arriving, we went to a local winery where we tasted local Lodi wines. It is customary in American wineries to bring your own food to encourage you to sit and sip their wines  while socializing... And that is exactly what we did for most of the afternoon ...nice!  it was a great beginning to an amazing week long holiday!
